Who's behind this

Attack Surface Score is built and operated by George Clay through ET2 Labs LLC. It's run by a named person, not an anonymous brand โ€” because a security grade is only worth what its methodology and its author are worth.

The approach

The rest of this site is indices and measurement frameworks โ€” equity indices, reference data, scoring systems. The principle carries over here: an index points to the data, with no marketing layer over the math. The grade is computed from publicly observable signals by a method we publish in full, so you can check our work rather than take it on faith.

Read exactly how the grade is calculated on the How it works page โ€” the five categories, their weights, and where the data comes from are all documented.

What this is, and isn't

It's a passive, external look at what anyone on the public internet can already see about a domain โ€” TLS, email authentication, security headers, DNS hygiene, and exposed services. It never logs in, never sends attack traffic, and never touches internal systems. It's a fast, honest signal of external hygiene โ€” not a penetration test, and not a guarantee.
